5 Hatboro-Horsham Nonprofits To Support This Holiday Season
With the giving season nearly here, Patch readers should check out some of these local non-profit groups while considering local donations.
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — If you’re like many of your Hatboro and Horsham Township neighbors, you may spend a good part of the holiday season with your credit card in hand buying gifts for family and friends. Coming up soon is a chance to give back to the local community.
Giving Tuesday, which in 2024 falls on Dec. 3, is a day dedicated to supporting nonprofit and community groups. Since 2012, nonprofits worldwide have used the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to galvanize fundraising, rally volunteers and add momentum to their causes.
Maintaining funding is a constant challenge for many nonprofits that fill gaps and meet other needs in the Hatboro and Horsham Township areas.

Here are five local nonprofits to consider getting behind on Giving Tuesday:
- Horsham Township Library —The Horsham Township Library recently marked its 20th year in operation, offering programs and resources to adults and children.
- Enterprise Fire Company —Hatborough's fire company is always looking for volunteers. There are many ways to contribute your volunteer time to fire service for borough residents.
- College Settlement—Our Mission is to deliver a unique camp experience to young people concentrated in the greater Philadelphia area, without regard to economic circumstances. Our programs foster personal growth and provide a safe, affordable, and nurturing place for young people to enjoy the outdoors while learning about themselves, others and the environment.
- Hat Packs —The H.A.T. (Helping Around Town) Packs program partners with public schools, community organizations, local congregations, businesses, and individual contributors, to help fill weekend hunger gaps. Through monetary, food, and resource donations, the H.A.T. Packs program provides packs filled with non-perishable breakfast, lunch, snack, and beverage items to school children, and their siblings, who face food insecurity in between the school bell.
- Union Library of Hatboro —The York Road library has kicked it up a notch over the past year. Its programs include an outdoor summer concert series, book sales, and all kinds of fun events.
