New Brew Pub Opens In Horsham Township
The Wissahickon Brewing Company brings Philly beers with its first location in Montgomery County.
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Just across from Maple Glen Pizza on Welsh Road, a new business has come to life right before Christmas.
With two townhome projects nearby expected to bring lots of new residents to the township, and nearby Upper Dublin Township, the former Brick and Barrel restaurant has been revived.
The parking lot was jam-packed on Wednesday night, with the property at 870 Welsh Road being rebranded as the Wissahickon Brewing Company.

The Wissahickon Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated brewery in Philadelphia.
Its main brewery and beer garden is located in East Falls, and its new taproom and kitchen are in Olde Kensington.

The Brick & Barrel Taphouse in the township's Maple Glen section was a popular gastropub known for its burgers, pizzas from a brick oven, craft beer, and specials.
It closed permanently in mid-2024 after landlord issues and damage from a tornado that hit the area in 2021.
