Candidate Questions

1. What can you do to curb crime that is seeping into the suburbs in Lower Bucks County / Eastern Montgomery County?

We are legislators. We do not oversee our police departments. What we do to help our police departments are state grants to cover costs such as body cams, stun guns, K-9 schooling, and advanced schooling for new hires. We have given grants to several departments for building new and upgraded police department buildings, as well as grants to aid in their transition to being accredited departments.

2. How can you work to get more money for your district in terms of school funding and grants?

Our total increases in budgets for our schools were incredible this year. Abington received $1.9 million. Lower Moreland received $613,264 in funding. Upper Moreland received $1.1 million. Hatboro-Horsham received $819,697. Bryn Athyn received $102,505. As far as grants, all of our schools have received additional funding when asked. These are generally given for school improvements for expanded areas, school security, and other needed items.

3. Where can improvements still be made to reduce traffic that continues to clog key roads in your district?

One of the ways to reduce traffic back-ups is by installing roundabouts. PECO is already starting this over in Lower Moreland where backups are needed the most. Other areas in my district are not as congested as Lower Moreland is.

4. What do you bring to the district as a change agent in helping your constituents have a better life after years of inflation and rising costs for families?

The Federal Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law in 2022. In March 2024, Pennsylvania was given a priority assessment. This includes tax credits for lowering energy costs, rebates for home electrification and energy efficiency, along with rent rebates and home ownership rebates for our seniors. We have completed over 30,000 case works to date. This number shows the steadfast dedication we have for our constituents.
