Enterprise Fire Company Mourns Loss Of Member

Dave Blackwell's passing was mentioned at the recent Hatboro Borough Council meeting.

HATBORO, PA —The Enterprise Fire Company and Hatboro community are mourning the loss of a beloved fire company member.

Warren David Blackwell, 71, of Hatboro, died on March 18, according to his obituary. His passing was mentioned at the recent Hatboro Borough Council meeting.

"Dave was more than just a firefighter," the Enterprise Fire Company said in a Facebook post. "He was a friend, a mentor, and a true hero in every sense of the word. His dedication to serving our community and protecting lives will forever be remembered."

Blackwell was a member of the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro for more than 20 years.

"Dave's passion for firefighting was infectious, and his commitment to training and safety set an example for us all," the fire company said. "Whether it was battling flames or offering a helping hand to those in need, Dave's selflessness knew no bounds. As we honor his memory, let us not only remember the brave acts he performed but also the kindness and compassion he showed to everyone he encountered. Dave leaves behind a legacy of courage and generosity that will continue to inspire us for years to come. Rest easy, Dave. Your bravery will never be forgotten, and your spirit will live on in the hearts of those you touched."

He is survived by his wife Patricia J. Blackwell (nee Felte), his brothers and sisters Delores Mohr, Rev. Edward A. Blackwell Jr., Mary Ellen Banas (Gary), and Joseph C. Blackwell (Susan), his father in law Robert Felte Sr. his brothers in law Bob Felte Jr. (Patricia), and Richard Felte (Donna), his sisters in law Kathy Blackwell, Cheryl Borghi (Carlo), and Michele Hansen, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward A. Blackwell and Anna T. Blackwell (nee Keenan), and his brother Robert Blackwell.
