Fallen Firefighter From Hatboro's Funeral Details Set

​Jeffrey DiDomenico​, 50, died on Dec. 17. He served with the Philadelphia Fire Department for 18 years.

HATBORO, PA —A 50-year-old Hatboro man who was a long-time Philadelphia firefighter will be laid to rest Friday after losing his battle with cancer.

Jeffrey DiDomenico, 50, of Hatboro, died on Dec. 17 after a "long and courageous battle" with cancer, according to his obituary.

DiDomenico spent 18 years with the Philadelphia Fire Department and was last assigned to Engine 45 in Strawberry Mansion.

DiDomenico was the devoted husband of Trish (nee Calhoun). Jeff and Trish were childhood friends that reconnected and fell in love 30 years later.

He was the beloved son of Catherine; the loving father of Madison Krenc; and the loving brother of Kristin McCrosson (Joe), Michael DiDomenico (Lisa), and Traci Bruno (Joe).

"Jeff will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as his loyal dog Biscuit," his obituary states.

DiDomenico was born and raised in North East Philadelphia. His favorite sports teams included the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Giants.

Viewing hours are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Road in Philadelphia.

The funeral procession steps off at 8:15 a.m. Friday from Archbishop Ryan High School’s south parking lot, 11201 Academy Road, and travels to Givnish.

Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Givnish with the service to follow the viewing.

Interment will immediately follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Road in Huntingdon Valley.
