Flood Watch Expands In Hatboro-Horsham: Latest Forecast
Horsham ChATs is alerting residents to prepare for potential flooding after a flood watch was extended until midnight for Montgomery County.
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Horsham ChATS is warning residents to prepare for an onslaught of inclement weather for the rest of Monday.
Horsham Community Police Services posted the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J. for the anticipated storm.

A food watch has been expanded to include all of Montgomery County, starting at 2 p.m. and ending at midnight. Excessive rainfall rates could result in scattered local flash flooding, especially in urban areas and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
A severe thunderstorm possibility has been upgraded to an enhanced risk, with numerous severe thunderstorms now probable. The expected timing of severe thunderstorms is between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., moving west to east, with the greatest potential after 4 p.m.

Damaging wind gusts of 60-70 mph and large hail are possible, which would likely damage trees and power lines. Storms should produce frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.
The weather service said tornado potential is low.
Greatest damaging wind potential will come with any organized squall line that develops, the weather service stated.
Here is the latest forecast as of 1 p.m. Monday:
- Monday afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Monday: Showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 2 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog between midnight and 2 a.m. Low around 67. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Tuesday: A chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
