Former Enterprise Fire Co. Chief Mourned In Hatboro

The Hatboro community is mourning the passing of former Enterprise Fire Company Chief William "Uncle Bill" Gottshall.

HATBORO, PA — The Hatboro Borough community is mourning the loss of a former Enterprise Fire Company chief.

The fire company this week announced the passing of former Chief William “Uncle Bill” Gottshall.

Chief Gottshall was "a pillar of dedication and service" to the fire company and the entire borough, officials said.

Gottshall held numerous leadership roles, including his service on the fire company's board of directors, "always exemplifying integrity, loyalty, and compassion."

"Uncle Bill leaves behind a legacy of courage, mentorship, and unwavering support for the firefighting community," the fire company said. "His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will be forever remembered."

Fire company officers and members expressed their deepest condolences to the chief's family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

The Borough of Hatboro also sent condolences to the Gottshall and Zollers families, and fire company members and officers.
