A Hatboro-Horsham High School Student Reportedly Threatened To Harm Fellow Students Tues.

HATBORO-HORSHAM, PA — A local high schooler threatened to harm fellow students on Tuesday but police interrupted his plans, according to Hatboro-Horsham School District officials.
High school staff on Monday evening were made aware of threats by a student, which were reported anonymously by several individuals who reached out to the local youth violence prevention service, Safe2Say Something, according to the district.
Horsham police were immediately contacted and went to the student's home as part of their investigation Monday, the school district stated in a Facebook post.

The district did not release further information about the student since he is a minor and the police investigation is ongoing, but officials assured parents that the student would not be in school on Tuesday and "nor will this student be a danger to the high school or its students," the district said in the Facebook post.
District officials said an increased police presence was expected at the high school on Tuesday, and that counseling services would be available during the week for students who wish to utilize them.

The school district said it worked closely with local law enforcement officials throughout the evening on Monday on the matter.
