HATBORO, PA — Democratic incumbent Hatboro Mayor Timothy Schultz soared to reelection victory following last week's municipal contest.

Election returns from the county show Schultz being reelected as mayor with 1,130 votes.

The unofficial county results show his Republican challenger, Kevin Lavery, receiving 918 votes.

The county showed a small handful of mail-in ballots yet to be counted as of Sunday, when the results were last updated, but those outstanding votes are not likely to be enough to sway the conclusion of this race in any meaningful way.

Schultz was previously profiled by Patch prior to election day. More about the now twice-elected mayor can be found here.

Schultz, who has resided in the Borough of Hatboro for close to 20 years, has also served in the capacity as the borough's historian, as a member of the Hatboro Tricentennial Committee, and as chairman of the Hatboro Holiday Parade, according to his official biography. He is also a past president of the local chamber of commerce.

A photographer by trade, Schultz also owns and operates Bright House Creative Services, and says he loves being behind the camera.

Schultz and his wife, DJ, have five children.
