Police Cite 2 Hatboro Borough Businesses

Hatboro Police said the two businesses violated state codes for selling tobacco to minors.

HATBORO, PA — Two businesses have been cited for violating tobacco compliance checks conducted by the Htboro Borough Police Department.

The checks are conducted in conjunction with the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania.

Hatboro Police said that all retailers assigned a tobacco license through the Commonwealth are subject to compliance checks throughout the year.

Police said that repeated violations can result in loss of the tobacco license.

During compliance checks completed on Wednesday, Hatboro Police found two businesses that were in violation.

They were cited for violation of the PA Crimes Code, Title 18 6305(a)(1) for the sale of tobacco to minors.

The two businesses cited were: Dollar General (317 S. York Road), and Hatboro Smoke Shop (11 S. York Road).
