Snow Emergency Declared In Horsham Township

"Motorists are urged to avoid traveling if possible," officials said. "If you must travel, please use extreme caution."

HORSHAM, PA — Officials in Horsham Township have declared a snow emergency in the township with the ongoing winter storm, which could bring 4-6 inches of snow to communities in eastern Montgomery County.

A winter storm warning is in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in the county, according to the National Weather Service.

The township snow emergency lasts until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, and is subject to change. Click here to see the township's snow regulations; drivers are asked to remove vehicles from the roadway once two inches of snow are on the ground, so plows can get through.

"Motorists are urged to avoid traveling if possible," officials said. "If you must travel, please use extreme caution during this period of inclement weather."

Problems may be reported to Horsham Township on the website. PennDOT is responsible for clearing the following 23.72 miles of state roads: County Line Road, Easton Road (Route 611) and Route 309.
