Star Student: Chris Excels At Sportsmanship In Horsham
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Horsham.

LANGHORNE, PA —Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages, and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Trent Mongillo, who nominated Chris.

How do you know the star local student?
I am his coach
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Bar none, Chris is the best wrestler on our team. He is dependable enough to hold not only himself accountable, but also his teammates. He makes good decisions in the classroom, the community and for the team. He donates his time back to our wrestling club selflessly because others before him would do the same. He shows initiative by creating new ways to showcase the team and the wrestling club. Chris created a wrestling spotlight where he recognizes the efforts of our youth club wrestlers and works 1-1 with them coaching them at practice. He gives them swag from the HS team too. He donates his time back to reffing youth wrestling and coaching them as well. He has tact, even in tough losses in tournaments. He is an upstanding citizen in our community and within our sport. Chris has been a leader from a young age, captaining teams from elementary school thru high school. He has been loyal to his teammates and puts the program above himself. He is not afraid to speak his mind and encourages others to give their best effort at all times.
We have had a wrestling program at Hatboro Horsham since 1961.
