Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
Skloff: Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the east coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrees and more. Founded in 1970 by Donald Skloff, Don's has grown from a 1,400 sq. Ft Facility with six products to a 55,000 sq. Ft facility with over 130 products spanning across its three brands Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town, or how long has your organization been around in the community?
Skloff: Since 1970.
Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Skloff: Third generation in my family business. My grandfather Donald founded the company in 1970 and my father Victor has been running the company since 1980.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Skloff: Making the finest food products.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Skloff: Being part of an organization that cares about the safety and quality of its products and the wellbeing of its employees. Our employees are more than just employees, they become part of the family the moment they join. Some of our employees have been part of the family for 10-20-30+ years!
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Skloff: We produce the highest quality food products around while maintaining the highest standards in food safety.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?
Skloff: We just launched a line of cheese spreads that are incredibly delicious!
