4. The Student Leader Union, a youth-run nonprofit, will host more than 60 middle school and high school students today for a free leadership conference at the Community College of Philadelphia. They will learn from over 12 professional trainers and adult "experts" on topics ranging from fundraising to public relations to holding community drives. At the end of the conference, the students will hear from our two keynote speakers: Mr. Ollie Johnson, a former 76er who spent over 10 years in the NBA; and Ms. Jamira Burley, executive director of the Philadelphia Youth Commission. The conference, coordinated entirely by teenagers, is intended to offer professional leadership training to students from Philadelphia's disadvantaged neighborhoods, and so all attendees are attending for free
