LANSDALE, PA — The latest ranking of hospital safety scores has been released, featuring numerous healthcare facilities in the greater Lansdale area and shedding an updated light on what patients can expect.
The Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2025 Hospital Safety Grades are a biannual ranking that assigns a “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” to all general hospitals in the United States based on their ability to protect patients from medical errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
Jefferson Lansdale received a 'B' in the latest ranking.

The hospital scored best in preventing infection in the blood and urinary tract, blood leakage, dangerous objects left in the body during surgery, dangerous bed sores, collapsed lung, dangerous blood clots, handwashing, and safe medication administration.
About 24 percent of hospitals nationwide also received a 'B' grade.

Nearby, Roxborough Hospital scored an 'A,' as did Einstein Medical Center Montgomery and Suburban Community Hospital, both in East Norriton. Phoenixville Hospital a 'C,' and Temple Health Chestnut Hill a 'D.'
According to the safety grades, no Pennsylvania hospitals received an 'F' grade but 9 hospitals in the state received a 'D'. Thirty-four hospitals got a 'C'.
