Main Street To Be Shut Down In Royersford For Rail Improvements

CSX Rail improvements will cause shutdowns of several key roads around Montgomery County over the coming weeks.

ROYERSFORD, PA — Main Street will be shut down this fall in Royersford as CSX Rail, the continental freight railroad company that uses tracks in the area, continues repairs.

The closure will shut down the road from First Avenue to Second Avenue.

The 24-hour-a-day shutdown will be in place from Oct. 20 through Oct. 23, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.

Drivers will be detoured to Main Street, Bridge Street, Route 724 (Schuylkill Road), Linfield Road, and Lewis Road. Local access for residents will be maintained.
