Man Tries To Sell Stolen Poodle Back To Dog's Family: Reports
Erie Beh, of Philadelphia, is facing felony theft charges in connection with the incident in Towamencin Township.

TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A city man is facing felony theft charges in Montgomery County in connection with an incident in which he allegedly attempted to sell back a stolen poodle to the dog's owners, according to media reports and court records.
Erie Beh, 20, of Philadelphia, has been charged with felony counts of theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property in connection with allegations that he tried to sell a stolen dog back to the family that owned the animal, according to this post by NorthPennNow.
The article says that the poodle went missing from its home on the 100 block of Mainland Square Drive in Towamencin Township this summer, and that the owner's son-in-law had been approached by a man — later identified as Beh — while the son-in-law was hanging missing posters about the lost animal.

Beh reportedly said he witnessed someone who had been riding in a sedan grab the dog off the street, and police later claim that they discovered the same vehicle, which was caught on surveillance video, was determined to be registered to Beh, according to the article.
The allegation is that Beh may have been working with someone else in a scheme to steal the canine.

Beh reportedly said he had bought a similar dog from a woman in a Northeast Philly parking lot, and that he felt he was entitled to the $3,000 he paid for the animal when he returned it, according to the article.
A search of court records shows that Towamencin Township Police initially charged Beh back in late August, but he was not arrested and arraigned until late October.
A preliminary hearing in the case originally scheduled for Nov. 2 has since been pushed to Dec. 7, according to the criminal docket sheet in the case.
Records show Beh was released on $5,000 unsecured bail following his Oct. 21 arraignment.
It does not appear that the driver of the sedan, who was identified as a woman, has been charged yet in connection with the incident, and her identity has not yet been confirmed by law enforcement, although it is suspected that she may be Beh's girlfriend.
