NORRISTOWN, PA — A Philadelphia man will spend the rest of his life behind bars in connection with the 'murder for hire' death of a Bucks County woman who was gunned down in Lansdale Borough in 2020.

Chong Ling Dan, 50, of North Philly, was sentenced to life in prison on Monday morning during a proceeding before Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge William Carpenter, according to court records and media reports.

Pack was killed in November 2020. She was shot while sitting in her stopped car while waiting at a red light in Lansdale.

A third man implicated in what prosecutors said was the 'murder for hire' scheme, Terrance Marche, reportedly fled the country after the killing and is still being sought by authorities.

His last known whereabouts was somewhere in Central America.

Court records show Dan was scheduled to be sentenced Monday morning, but records were not yet updated to reflect the actual sentencing.

The Philadelphia Inquirer, however, reported that Judge Carpenter sentenced Dan to life behind bars during a proceeding in which Pack's mother, Rhonda Pack Terry, confronted the defendant, calling him a "monster" for killing her 30-year-old daughter.

Pack was a nurse and mother who lived in Feasterville, Bucks County.

Prosecutors have framed the planned killing as domestic in nature, and in which Dan was pegged as the main organizer behind the plot.

Vance was the reported triggerman while Marche was said to be in the vehicle riding with Vance at the time it followed Pack for about 13 miles from her home in lower Bucks County to a house in Lansdale, Montgomery County.
