Montco Procession Planned For Massive Scale Replica Of Vietnam Memorial
The 375-foot-long, 7.5 foot tall replica will travel by motorcycle escort from Valley Forge to Montgomery Township.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — A massive, mobile, scale replica of the Vietnam War Memorial will travel across Montgomery County with a special motorcycle escort next month before arriving at its display location.
"The Wall That Heals," which is 375 feet in length and stands 7.5 feet tall at its highest point, will travel from Valley Forge National Park's visitor center on Tuesday, July 8, organizers shared in detailed plans this week.
It will then be exhibited at Windlestrae Park in Montgomery Township from July 10 to July 13.

Veteran motorcyclists and similar groups are invited to participate in the procession. A signup document is online here.
The rain or shine escort will travel on a designated route through King of Prussia and Norristown, with participants lining the route encouraged to support the event with flags, signs, and cheers.

The procession will leave at 10:30 a.m. on July 8. Specific, dedicated viewing areas include:
- Valley Forge Casino - 1160 1st Ave, King of Prussia
- Route 202 Trail (near Brady Bridge) - Parking at LA Fitness - 120 Garden Golf Blvd, North Wales
- Montgomery Elementary School - 1221 Stump Rd, North Wales
- Montgomery Township Administration Building - 1001 Stump Rd, Montgomeryville
- Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center - 1030 Horsham Rd, Montgomeryville
“The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund is pleased to bring The Wall That Heals mobile exhibit to Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania to allow local veterans and their family members a chance to experience The Wall,” Jim Knotts, president and CEO of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), told Patch in a statement. “Hosting The Wall That Heals provides an opportunity to honor and remember all those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War and educate visitors on the continuing impact of the Vietnam War on America.”
The three-quarter scale replica memorial will be open 24 hours a day and will be free to the public.
