Montgomery Twp. National Night Out: Fireworks, Food, Music, And More

A big night is on tap in Montgomery Township Friday.

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA — Montgomery Township's special National Night Out event will be held this Friday, Aug. 8, bringing fireworks, food, live music, and more in a celebration of the bond between law enforcement, first responders, and the local community.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Windlestrae Park.

The nationally coordinated event aims to bring police and the community closer together to promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in the fight for a safer nation, officials said.

The night will feature games, entertainment, free food and refreshments, giveaways, and much more, and will be combined with the township's postponed "Stars, Stripes, and Remembrance" event.

Representatives from numerous local businesses and organizations will be on hand, including local police and fire, neighborhood watch groups, borough council, other government officials, and more. Various local nonprofits and businesses will also be on hand providing information on their services.

Live music will be performed by Keith Garner. There will also be a canine demonstration at 7 p.m., community vendors, a bounce house, a beer garden, food trucks, a rock ball, face painting, and more.
