Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

My daughter has overcome many obstacles throughout the years and has not stopped moving forward or has not compromised her focus. After being diagnosed with Crohn’s and many complications she persevered endlessly to continue to rise above and be nominated not only for presidential awards but national high school scholars. She battled sickness for years and continued to perform at her highest level ultimately graduating a year ahead with over 4.0 average and in the top 14 percent of her class. Additionally, her athletic talent has led her to be a leading contributor to her travel team with high scores multiple times.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Goal oriented and high perseverance
