LANSDALE, PA — A main thoroughfare will be shut down in Lansdale over the coming weeks as construction work gets underway.

North Cannon Avenue will be shut down starting Thursday, Aug. 7, officials said.

Closures will be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. between West Fifth Street and West Eighth Street during weekdays.

North Penn Water Authority will be completing planned work, including an upgrade to the water distribution system.

Construction is expected to last about a month.
