Old Forty Foot Road To Shut Down In Towamencin

Road work will continue through July.

TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Construction work will get underway this week on Old Forty Foot Road, which will be shut down for several hours in Towamencin Township this month.

Closures will be in place on weekdays from Thursday, July 18 to Friday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Work will include "base repair," PennDOT said, or improvement of damaged pavement.

The closure will be in place from Route 73 (Skippack Pike) to Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike). The detour will run to Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike), Bustard Road, and Route 73 (Skippack Pike).

Drivers should allow for additional travel time as traffic in the area is expected.
