Philip Jaisohn Memorial Foundation Marks 50 Years with Gala

Celebrating 50 years of service, the gala honored local leaders and showcased the Foundation's growing initiatives.

The Philip Jaisohn Memorial Foundation celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a gala attended by over 500 guests, the largest in the organization’s history. The evening honored five decades of health and human services and highlighted a new era of community impact and leadership development.

The program showcased the Foundation’s growing initiatives, including the Jaisohn Community Wellness Plaza and the Jaisohn Advocacy & James & Agnes Kim Leadership Institute, designed to improve access to care and cultivate future community leaders.

Two major awards were presented: the Independence Blue Cross Foundation received the 2025 Jaisohn Leadership Award, and Dr. Henry Sung-Kyu Oh received the Philip Jaisohn Lifetime Service Award for 50 years of service to underserved communities. Board and staff members with 20 to 45 years of service were also recognized.

Local and state leaders attended, including Secretary Valerie Arkoosh, Secretary Akbar Hossain, Senator Art Haywood, Montgomery County Commissioner Chair Neil Makhija, Representative Steve Malagari, Mayor Bob McMahon, and Consul Gilhyun Lee of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Washington, D.C.

The gala proceeds will help expand programs serving families, seniors, and community members across Montgomery County, the North Penn region, and Greater Philadelphia.
