Rep. Tracy Pennycuick Gets GOP Nod In 24th Senatorial District Race
Tracy Pennycuick, a Republican state representative, won her party's nomination to succeed incumbent Bob Mensch in the 24th Sen. District.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Tracy Pennycuick, who currently serves as the Republican state representative in the 147th Legislative District, has won her party's nomination for the soon-to-be-vacant 24th Senatorial District seat held by incumbent Bob Mensch.
Pennycuick won Tuesday's Republican primary election with more than 81 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election results from Montgomery County.
Her opponent, Berks County resident David Moyer, appears to have only gotten a little more than 18 percent of the vote, according to the unofficial results.

Pennycuick, 56, a U.S. Army veteran and small business owner, has only been in her House seat since January 2021, but she told Patch previously that Mensch himself wanted her to succeed him when he retires from the senate seat.
On Tuesday, Patch caught up with Pennycuick, who spoke about the importance of having the GOP retain control of the 24th Senatorial District, which is a diverse district that includes communities in Montgomery, Berks and Bucks Counties.
