Lansdale Woman Charged With Forging Checks From Private Investigator
Amber Theuret, 32, is facing felony theft charges for allegedly forging checks from her former private investigator employer.
LANSDALE, PA — A northwestern Pennsylvania woman has been arrested and charged with felony criminal charges after she allegedly forged checks while working for a Montgomery County-based private investigator last year, according to media reports and court records.
Amber Theuret, 32, of Youngstown, Pa. in Warren County, is facing two separate felony theft counts for allegedly stealing from the Lansdale-based private investigations firm where she had been employed, North Penn Now reports.
The website stated that the arrest came after the business contacted local police in late 2021 to say that a former employee had forged nearly a dozen checks while working for the company.

The site reported that the 11 unauthorized checks were cashed in an amount totaling $2,241 in less than eight weeks.
Records from magisterial district court show that Theuret has been scheduled for a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 25 at 11:30 a.m. before District Judge Edward Levine.
