$120K In State Grants Coming to Lower Bucks Co. Fire, EMS Units

State Rep. Joe Hogan helped secure the funds that can be used for training, equipment purchases, renovations, and paying down debt.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —State Rep. Joe Hogan has secured $120,153 in state grants for fire and EMS companies in the 142nd Legislative District.

The grants come courtesy of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

Projects eligible for funding include the construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, the purchase or repair of equipment, training, or the reduction of existing debt.

“I'm pleased to see this funding come back to our community,” Hogan said. “These are mostly volunteer organizations that put their lives on the line for us. I'll continue to have their back in Harrisburg.”

The legislative district covers Lower Southampton Township, Langhorne Manor, Langhorne Borough, Penndel Borough, and parts of Middletown and Northampton townships.

The organizations that received grants are:

  • Feasterville Fire Co. – $16,106.
  • Lower Southampton Fire Co. – $16,322.
  • Middletown Township DBA - $13,309.
  • Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Co. – $14,600.
  • Parkland Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 – $14,170.
  • Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad – $13,000.
  • Penndel Fire Co. No. 1 – $16,322.
  • William Penn Fire Co. – $16,322.
