“Replacing the Municipal Center roof is essential to preserving a critical public building, preventing further damage, and ensuring uninterrupted municipal services for Middletown Township residents,” Prokopiak said.
In a separate award, the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority has received $140,860 for a project to benefit Middletown Township and Lower Southampton Township. The total project cost is $150,660, with the Authority contributing $9,800 in committed funds.
This project will replace outdated water meters with an Automatic Meter Reading system.
The new technology will automatically collect and transmit water usage data, improving efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness in day-to-day water system management. The funds will be used for equipment purchase and installation, as well as administrative costs.
The grants are funded through the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, which provides for the distribution of gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
The program supports projects in the public interest across Pennsylvania, including construction, renovation, infrastructure improvements, equipment purchases, engineering, and certain administrative costs.
Prokopiak represents the 140th Legislative District, which comprises Falls, Morrisville, Tullytown and part of Middletown in Bucks County.
