Here are five local nonprofits to consider getting behind on Giving Tuesday:

  1. Friends Of Bolton Museum —The mission of the Friends of Bolton Mansion is to engage the Lower Bucks County community through exhibits and programming that are open to the public. The continued restoration and preservation of the Mansion as a historic museum, along with the Farmers’ residence and surrounding grounds will foster interest in the interpretation of the site, the history of Bolton Mansion, and its role in the early history of the Commonwealth through the present day.
  2. Bristol Fire Company —The Bristol Fire Company is a volunteer fire company located in Bristol Borough. It was founded in 1857 and provides fire, rescue, hazardous materials, and emergency medical services to Bristol Borough and surrounding communities.
  3. Women's Animal Center —Women's Animal Center, America's First Animal Shelter, provides a variety of vital services to the pets and people in the Bucks County community including pet adoptions, a veterinary hospital, dog training, community programs, human education, and a pet food pantry for families in need.
  4. Fallsington Library —The Fallsington Library Company was founded in 1800 and incorporated in 1802. The library’s collection was originally housed in a local inn and later moved to the home of the librarian. The Fallsington Library continues to proudly serve Fallsington and the surrounding communities. A full-service lending library, we also present interactive family programming and provide meeting space for the public in our beautiful, historic building. Our affiliation with the Bucks County Free Library allows our patrons full access to the entire BCFL catalog.
  5. United Way of Bucks County —The county organization offers a Help Center, emergency assistance, emergency food and shelter, its Bucks Knocks Out Hunger program, Stuff the Bus, and pre-K counts, among other programs.
