83 More Coronavirus Cases In PA, State Total Up To 268

Pennsylvania health officials said Friday there are an 83 additional positive cases of the novel coronavirus.

HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania health officials said Friday there are 83 more positive cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide total to 268.

All people are either in isolation at home or being treated at the hospital.

All those who tested positive are either in isolation at home or being treated at the hospital.

The state's first death was reported Wednesday. An adult from Northampton County has died from the virus.

"Pennsylvanians have a very important job right now: stay calm, stay home and stay safe. We have seen case counts continue to increase and the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home.”Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said.
