Affordable Care Act Enrollment Event Set In Tullytown
Certified specialists will be on hand to help people looking to enroll through the government healthcare portal.
TULLYTOWN, PA — An event for people considering seeking healthcare through the Affordable Care Act has been scheduled in Tullytown.
State Sen. Steve Santarsiero is hosting the event, at Tullytown Borough Hall at 500 Main St. It will be from 10 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
At the open enrollment event, certified ACA enrollment specialists will be on site to help residents buy health insurance through the federal individual marketplace. In order to enroll, people will need their W-2 form or a pay stub and a government-issued photo ID.

Flu shots and blood pressure screening also will be offered at the event.
The session is part of an ACA Open Enrollment Tour across Pennsylvania by the Senate Democratic Caucus. A similar event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m.-noon at Sellersville Borough Hall, at 140 E. Church St. in Sellersville.

In a recent guest editorial, Santarsiero wrote, "Pennsylvania cannot afford to go back to leaving nearly 1 million residents without healthcare coverage. We should be working to improve the ACA to give families further financial stability and healthier quality of life."
