African American Museum of Bucks County to Host Volunteer Drive

The African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) is excited to announce a Volunteer Information Session on Saturday, November 2.

Langhorne, PA – October 15, 2024 – The African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) is excited to announce a Volunteer Information Session on Saturday, November 2, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Langhorne. This session is an excellent opportunity for community members to learn about the various volunteer roles available and how they can contribute to preserving and celebrating African American history and culture in Bucks County.

The AAMBC is dedicated to educating the public about the rich heritage and untold stories of African Americans in Bucks County and surrounding areas. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the museum’s mission by assisting with events, educational programs, and day-to-day operations. Whether you have a passion for history, education, or community engagement, there are numerous ways to get involved.

Linda Salley, Executive Director and President of the African American Museum of Bucks County, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming session, saying, "Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Their dedication and support enable us to fulfill our mission of preserving and sharing the important stories of African American history in Bucks County. We look forward to welcoming new volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in our community."

During the Volunteer Information Session, attendees will have the chance to meet current volunteers, learn about ongoing and upcoming projects, and explore how their skills and interests align with the museum’s needs. Light refreshments will be provided.
