Bridge Repairs Planned Under Interstate 295

PennDOT said the work begins Monday. Lane closures and times have been announced to plan your commute.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Overhead bridge repairs are planned overnight this week on northbound Route 1 in Middletown Township, PennDOT said

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that overhead bridge repairs will take place overnight this week on northbound U.S. 1 under Interstate 295 in Middletown Township, Bucks County, as part of a $37.4 million project to perform high-priority repairs on interstate bridges across the five-county Philadelphia region.

  • Monday, June 16, through Friday, June 20, a single lane closure will be in place from 9 p.m. to midnight, followed by a double lane closure from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, on northbound U.S. 1 underneath I-295.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
