Bristol School Closed After Heater Failure

There was a boiler system malfunction at the school early Thursday morning, district officials said.

BRISTOL, PA — A middle school in Bristol was closed Thursday after a heating system malfunction.

School district officials said a boiler broke down at Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School, at 1001 Veteran Hwy., on Thursday morning and the school was left with no heat and no estimated time for when it would be fixed.

"We are committed to providing a healthy, safe and comfortable environment for students to learn in and decided it was in their best interest to close on Thursday," the district said in a social media post.
