Bristol Township SD To Name New Superintendent
The school district plans to name longtime educator Michael Nitti as the next Superintendent of Schools. Read below for additional details.

BRISTOL, PA — The Bristol Township School District plans on officially naming a longtime New Jersey educator as their new Superintendent of Schools later this month.
Michael Nitti is set to be named as the district’s next Superintendent of Schools. Nitti has been the Superintendent of the Ewing Township (NJ) Public Schools since 2009, where he also served as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools from 2005 to 2009, according to a statement from the Bucks County Intermediate Unit.
His selection comes after a national executive search for qualified candidates, which was facilitated by the Bucks County Intermediate Unit. The Bristol Township Board of School Directors will approve Nitti for the position at a special meeting of the board on July 21 at 6:00 p.m.

Following the meeting, the board will host a Community Forum to introduce Nitti to the Bristol Township community. The forum will start at 7:00 p.m. and will feature Bristol Township student performers, opening remarks by Mr. Nitti, and a questions and answer session, which will be facilitated by Bucks County Intermediate Unit Executive Director, Dr. Mark Hoffman.

The forum will be held at the Bristol Township School District Administrative Offices, located at 5 Blue Lake Road in Levittown.
"I am honored and excited to become the next Superintendent of Schools for the Bristol Township School District," Nitti said in a statement. "I look forward to growing and expanding upon the rich heritage of the school district, while getting to work with the students, staff, and community. I will share my entry plan with the school community in the coming weeks and look forward to getting to know everyone and working together to promote student achievement in support of our vision of ‘Every Student, Every Day.’"
Nitti has also served as an Adjunct Professor of School Law for The College of New Jersey and
Rider University. He was the President of the Mercer County Superintendents Association from
2010 to 2013 and recognized as the Mercer County Superintendent of the Year in 2015.
