Bucks Co. Chiropractor Beaten To Death At Office: Police
James Sowa, a Penndel native and Neshaminy High alum who had been in practice since 1980, was found dead Monday of head trauma.

BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bucks County are investigating the Monday night beating death of a chiropractor who grew up locally and had been in practice here since 1980.
James Sowa, 64, was found dead at his home office at 3161 Hulmeville Rd., just north of Street Road, according to Bensalem Township Police. The Bucks County Coroner's Office ruled the death a homicide and said the cause was blunt force trauma to the head, police said.
Police say Sowa operated his chiropractic practice out of his home at the Hulmeville Road address.

According to his website, Sowa had been in practice in Bensalem since 1980. He grew up in Penndel and graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1974, according to the site.
Sowa attended college at the New York Institute of Technology and graduated from the New York Chiropractic College in 1979.

Bensalem Township Police and Bucks County detectives are investigating. Anyone with information, or who saw something suspicious in the area between 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, is asked to call 215-633-3719.
