Bucks County Office Center Roof Catches Fire
Fire officials said the fire Sunday afternoon at the Bristol Township building started when contractors were working on the roof.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — The roof of the Bucks County Office Center caught fire Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.
The Third District Fire Company arrived to find a fire on the roof at the building in the 1200 block of Veterans Highway around 2:22 p.m. Sunday for a fire alarm activation, Third District Fire Company Chief Howard McGoldrick said.
McGoldrick said firefighters quickly extinguished the small rooftop fire, where much of the flames had already been knocked down.

McGoldrick said the fire appeared to have started with roofers working on the building.
The chief said roofers using a torch accidentally ignited a small fire and attempted to put it out with a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived.

He said smoke detectors in the building activated, and that firefighters used about 30 gallons of water put out the remaining flames.
.No injuries were reported, and the damage was minimal, the chief said.
