Bucks Pretzel Baker Hopes Not To Fulfill Super Bowl LVII Bet
A Levittown pretzel maker is tied to Gov. Shapiro's Eagles Super Bowl bet with the governors in Kansas and Missouri.
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —So how is this for pretzel logic?
Jim Rossi doesn't want to fill an order at his Philly Style Hand Twisted Soft Pretzel Bakery in Levittown.
Rossi, of course, will gladly do it, but he doesn't think sending pretzels to Kansas will be needed once the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday.

Gov. Josh Shapiro tied in Rossi's pretzels in a bet with Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly and Missouri Gov. Mike Parson.
Shapiro and Parson are exchanging Eagles and Chiefs flags, and the governor of the losing team will hand the winning team's flag in his office next week.

Everyone, though, always loves to know what food is being offered with any Super Bowl bet.
So Shapiro is dangling the pretzels along with cheesesteaks from Tony Luke’s in Philadelphia, and Eagles Mini Donuts from the Collegeville Italian Bakery in Montgomery County.
Rossi, who has owned the pretzel business with his brother Anthony for the past 19 years, was flattered when the governor's office contacted him earlier in the week.
"We're joining in on the fun. We're very excited to be a part of it," he told Patch Friday. "It's a friendly bet. I had always hoped my pretzels would be up there."
If the Eagles win, Kelly will provide Shapiro with Creekstone Farms Black Angus Beef and chocolate-covered sunflower seeds.
And that's what Rossi believes will happen Sunday.
"I'm very confident in the boys this year," he said. "They're going to win. Absolutely."
While Rossi may not have to fill that order, business has been "crazy busy" at the pretzel shop on Woodbourne Road in Middletown.
He's always busy with a Super Bowl filling orders for pretzels, which he said that the family-owned-and-operated business does "everything ourselves."
"I couldn't even give you a number," he said of the number of orders, pushed higher with the Eagles in the Super Bowl.
So much for pretzels, though, right now. Rossi said he only has the bite-sized nuggets left.
