Cat Killer Sought By Bucks County SPCA

The Bucks County SPCA provided an update on the case in which a cat was shot and killed in Falls Township earlier this month.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Bucks County SPCA is still on the prowl for the person responsible for the fatal shooting of a cat in Falls Township earlier this month.

The Bucks County SPCA is offering a $2,5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person. See the flyer below

SPCA officials said a cat called Mikey was found dead in the B section of Pennwood Crossing Mobile Home Park in Falls Township at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 11.

"All I can say at this time about the cat shooting is that our investigation is ongoing and we’re following up on all leads," said Cindy Kelly, the SPCA's director of communications.

The Bucks SPCA said the cat's body was still warm, and he was bleeding. The cat was taken to a veterinary clinic, where X-rays identified a projectile.

Mikey was a neutered tuxedo cat who was known to be friendly by those who manage a cat colony in the area.

The Bucks County SPCA said that animal cruelty is a crime in Pennsylvania.

Causing the death of a cat, a house cat or a feral cat, can be a felony offense. BCSPCA investigates every tip received and has investigated similar cases every couple of years.

An investigation into the 2023 shooting of two cats at the Aspen Falls Apartments in Falls Township resulted in a felony conviction. BCSPCA granted a reward to a community member who provided video footage, which identified the shooter.
