Coyote Sighted In Langhorne Believed To Have Killed Dog

Residents are on high alert after several people saw the animal walking through their neighborhood.

LANGHORNE, PA — Residents of Langhorne are on high alert after sightings of a coyote coincided with the recent death of a local dog.

According to 6ABC, it is believed that the coyote might be responsible for the killing of Langhorne resident Sydney Lewis' dog, Laila, an 18-month-old Maltipoo.

Lewis took her dog to the veterinarian, only for Laila to be announced as dead on arrival. Her doctor said there were definitely signs of predation against the small dog.

With other residents recently seeing a coyote walking through their neighborhood, many believe the animal is the culprit in Laila's death.

As of now, the Pennsylvania Game Commission has been made aware of the situation, and the coyote is still on the loose. Anyone who comes into contact with the animal is advised not to approach it, but to call 911 and report its whereabouts.
