Driver Critical After Bristol Township Crash

The driver of a Dodge crossed over into the other lane and slammed into a telephone pole Saturday afternoon, according to police.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A driver is in critical condition after crashing into a telephone pole Saturday afternoon in Bristol Township, according to police.

Officers were called to the crash scene at 12:43 p.m. in the Croydon section at 505 Bristol Pike. Investigators say that a Dodge was traveling east on Bristol Pike when it crossed over into the westbound lane, then struck a telephone.

Police spokesman Lt. Ralph Johnson said the driver was critically injured and taken by Bensalem Rescue Squad to a local hospital.

Bristol Township Fire Police, Croydon Fire Department, Cornwells Fire Department and Third District Fire Company responded to the crash.
