Fairless Hills Neighbor Fight Escalates Beyond Property Disputes
"This is no way to live," said a mother who was told she "integrated the block." She says neighbors used racial slurs against her family.
FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — When Shakima Landsmark and her son moved into their new home in Fairless Hills four years ago, they were told they integrated the block. Soon, their neighbor Daniel Taylor would begin disputing property lines, insisting on mowing the foot of space in her backyard that connected their properties.
Landsmark told 6ABC that she'd often find Taylor in the backyard — and when she wanted to move, she said Taylor started telling potential buyers and realtors that she was in litigation with the town for water damage. She reported the incidents to the police.
In a separate occasion, according to an arrest affidavit, across-the-street neighbor Linda-Marie Ann Black yelled racial slurs at Landsmark and her son. Both Black and Taylor were charged with harassment. Taylor denied using the n-word to Action News and said, "Color means nothing to me."

Editor's note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that a judge had sided with Daniel Taylor in the property dispute. The judge sided against Taylor, as is now written. Patch deeply regrets the error.
