FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — The Falls Township Board of Supervisors will be moving forward with the 2022 road program at their Monday night meeting.
The board voted unanimously to award the construction bid to General Asphalt Paving Co., Inc., a Philadelphia-based paving contractor, in the amount of $4.8 million. The amount was almost $1 million less than the next-lowest bidder.
Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence said that the contract came "a little bit lower than what we were expecting."

A large part of this year's road program will involve the full-depth reconstruction of Pinewood Drive, as well as mill and overlay work. Milling and paving in the Nottingham section of town will also be included, according to engineer Joseph Jones.
A portion of the former U.S. Steel site will also be included in the nearby renovation and construction projects. The Board voted on the second phase of the NorthPoint Development project on this site back in February.
