Fire Damages Seniors Condo Units In Bristol

Firefighters were called to the condominiums on Moore Street at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A fire Thursday morning damaged condominium units at a senior community in Bristol Township.

Firefighters were dispatched at 9:40 a.m. to Hearthstone Condominiums, a 55-and-older community on Moore Street in Bristol. There, they discovered a fire on the third floor that, according to Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito, involved a washing machine.

The unit's sprinkler system activated and helped contain the fire to a laundry close, Dippolito said. The unit sustained smoke and water damage and two units below it had water damage.
