Firefighter Defined 'Friend And Brother;' Mourned In Levittown
Levittown Fire Co No.2 announced the death of president and past Assistant Chief Scott Schaffer on Thursday.
LEVITTOWN, PA —Local and county firefighters are paying tribute Friday to Levittown Fire Co No.2 member Scott Schaffer.
"It is with deep regret the Officers and Members of the Levittown Fire Co No.2 announce the death of President, past Assistant Chief and Life Member Scott Schaffer, who passed away on Thursday," Levittown Fire Co No. 2 posted on its Facebook page.
Schaffer served with the fire company since 2003.

"Scott devoted his life to serving his community every minute after. He defined the words 'friend' & 'Brotherhood,'” the fire company said. "Scott will be terribly missed by all. He truly made a difference in this world. Please keep the Schaffer family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."
Tributes to Schaffer were posted by other fire companies Friday.

"RIP. Thank you for your service," said James J Collins of the Bucks County Police and Fire news.
The Tullytown Fire Company Station 33 also paid their respects>
"The officers and members of Tullytown Fire Company Station 33 would like to send their sincere condolences to Levittown Fire Co #2 and the family of Scott Schaffer," the fire company posted.
Trevose Fire Company Station 4/84 also expressed their condolenses.
"Our deepest sympathies to Levittown Fire Company No. 2. Our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in Peace Scott."
