LEVITTOWN, PA — Regional rail service has been restored after a freight train derailment stopped SEPTA service on a Trenton train Tuesday night, officials said.

Andrew Busch, SEPTA's director of media relations, said outbound train No. 9729 did not stop at the Levittown Station on Tuesday night due to a freight train derailment in the area.

"We had a service disruption due to this," said Busch, adding that since the freight train was on Amtrak territory, he could not provide any details on the derailment.
