GoFundMe Raises $9K For Funeral Of Bucks Co. Man Dead In Police Shooting

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office is still investigating the 48-year-old man's death in a shooting by Falls Township Police.

MORRISVILLE, PA — A fundraiser for a Morrisville man who died on Aug. 29 has raised $9,135 to support his family and memorial expenses. The Bucks County District Attorney's Office is still investigating the man's death in an "officer-involved shooting" by the Falls Township Police Department.

Sources confirmed that Jorge Perez, 48, was the man killed when police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 12:04 p.m. that Sunday. Perez was pronounced dead at his home on the 400 block of Federal Lane; no others were injured, according to a release from the DA's office.

A spokesperson for the DA's office told Patch they hope the investigation will conclude in the coming weeks, but cannot provide more information currently.

"The family has lived in their Bucks County community for many years and has many friends and great neighbors," Perez's sister-in-law, Mary Lambetsos, wrote alongside the fundraiser for his family. "Everyone is extremely shocked that this killing took place."

According to his obituary, Perez was a father of six who was raised in Brooklyn and lived in Bucks County for the past 28 years.

"He did all he could for his family before his life was suddenly cut short," Lambetsos wrote.
