Halloween Spooktacular Showcased At Sesame Place

Sesame Place opens its popular seasonal celebration Saturday at its Middletown Township amusement park.

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Sesame Place Philadelphia will launch its annual fall celebration, "The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular," on Saturday.

Guests are invited to come dressed in their costumed best and enjoy trick-or-treating, entertaining shows, and silly, not-too-spooky fun with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends.

To kick off the festivities, "The Count’s Hello Halloween Spectacular" will return exclusively at 11 a.m. Saturday.

This musical celebration features Count von Count, the park’s master of scare-emonies, as he makes his grand entrance down the parade route to officially welcome The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular.

  • Season Pass Member Exclusive Hours – Season Pass Members are invited to enjoy an exclusive evening at the park on Friday, September 20 from 4pm to 8pm, as well as visit an exclusive Season Pass Member-only Trick-or-Treat Station.
  • Halloween Costume Contest – The park’s annual Halloween Costume Contest will take place on Sunday, October 27, featuring a Child Costume Contest and a Family Costume Contest. Guests are encouraged to get creative with their most dazzling costumes for a chance to march in a special pre-show before the Sesame Street Halloween Parade!
  • Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party – On Thursday, October 31, guests are invited to spend their evening trick-or-treating along the iconic Sesame Street Neighborhood in this Sesame Street-themed twist on “trunk-or-treat.”

*Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event.

Through Sunday, Nov. 3, guests can trick-or-treat throughout Big Bird’s Beach on the Tropical Trick-or-Treat trail, visit Spookley the Square Pumpkin in his Pumpkin Patch, have a specialty Halloween milkshake at Coffee Corner, and take Halloween-themed photos with their favorite Sesame Street friends in their Halloween costumes.

Fan-favorite, not-too-spooky Halloween-themed shows will return for a ghoulishly good time during The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular. Returning shows include the Halloween mystery “Who Said Boo?!,” the Furry Friends Halloween Dance Party, the “Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween Radio Show,” “Our Street on Halloween,” and the Sesame Street Halloween Parade. Guests can also gather for a Halloween Storytime in Sesame Studio with a special Sesame Street friend and catch the Count-Around Crew, a high-energy pep squad with a love for numbers, for interactive counting games and Halloween cheer.

In addition, guests can join their favorite furry friends for a delicious buffet meal at the Spooktacular Halloween Dine at Dine with Elmo & Friends and create a positively perfect pumpkin with everyone’s favorite fairy-in-training at Pumpkin Decorating with Abby Cadabby. Reservations and a fee are required for Dine with Elmo & Friends and Pumpkin Decorating with Abby Cadabby.
