Head-On Collision In Langhorne Leaves Driver Badly Injured

The driver of the Pontiac collided with a dump truck, causing their car to catch fire.

LANGHORNE, PA — A head-on collision in Langhorne has left one driver badly injured, with their car catching fire after colliding with a dump truck on Tuesday morning.

Around 8:45 a.m., the driver of a Pontiac collided head-on with a large dump truck on Brownsville Road. The vehicle caught fire as a result of the crash.

According to Levittown Now, the car appeared to have drifted into the opposing lane and hit the dump truck. The driver of the Pontiac was extracted from the vehicle and sent to a local hospital by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured.

According to police, the fire began to come out of the engine compartment, with officers using fire extinguishers to stop the flames and to stop the man from being injured by them.

The area of Brownsville Road where the incident took place was closed off for safety and for an investigation.
