Historic Bolton Mansion Reports $10K In Damages To Property

The mansion, originally built in 1687, suffered damage to the front steps by people sledding down them. Vandalization was also reported.

LEVITTOWN, PA — The Bolton Mansion, which has been situated in Levittown since 1687, has reported recent damages to the historic building.

In a social media post, representatives of the mansion said that the damage occurred on the front steps of the building, most of which was caused by people sledding down them over the years, wearing away at the old stone and concrete steps.

"We patched the steps and shortly after there [was a] video of young children with their parents scraping the mortar away," representatives of the mansion said on their official Facebook page.
